Reuse Identity Data Across Applications

For Cloud Service Providers offering software-as-a-service (SaaS), platform-as-a-service (PaaS), or infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS), the old model of customer identity data (login, profile, preferences, products) siloed away in multiple repositories is simply not sustainable. In this model, customers are forced to log on multiple times to access different applications, re-enter preferences from application to application, and manage each departmental or regional instance separately. Customer satisfaction suffers and new services and offerings cannot be directed to customers in a focused manner.

To address these challenges, Cloud Service Providers must take a customer-centric approach to identity management; one that allows them to share and reuse identity data for services like authentication, authorization, and profile management across all applications and computing instances.
